Every business owner knows the feeling. It has been a fortnight since the last post, you know you should put something up, and your mind goes completely blank. So you post a motivational quote and hope nobody notices.
The good news is you have far more to post about than you think. You are just too close to it to see it.
Show the work being done
Not just the finished result. The prep, the mess, the process. People love seeing how things get made.
Introduce the people
Who works there, what they do, what they are best at. Customers buy from people they feel they know.
Answer a question customers always ask
If you get asked it every week, that is a post. Probably a regular one.
Before and after
For almost any business that changes something, this is the most reliable post there is.
Share what a customer said
With their permission, a kind review or message is worth more than anything you could write about yourself.
Tell people something useful
A tip, a mistake to avoid, a quick how-to. Useful posts get saved and shared.
Behind the scenes
A delivery arriving, a new bit of kit, the team’s lunch order. Small, real moments make you look human.
Remind people what you sell
It feels too obvious, but plenty of your followers do not know everything you offer. Say it plainly, now and again.
Make it easier on yourself
Pick the two channels your customers actually use rather than trying to be everywhere. Plan a month at a time. Take photos when things are happening, not when you need a post. And write captions in batches, so Friday afternoon is for something else.
